Just borrowing a ring flash from college to try it out on still life, as well as portrait and see how easy it is to use. Besides the fact that it didn't fit on the lens and i had no adaptors, to make it fit, i found it very easy to use and gave great results. if only it wasn't so cumbersome as i was having to hold the ring do zoom adjustments with one hand and hold the full weight of the 40D with the other (i could have used a tripod but that would have been easier :D ).
